What I am most proud of: My first-generation Afghan-American family. Their work ethic, generosity, and humor have profoundly shaped me.
I felt most courageous when: Training military officials in Kabul, Afghanistan on how to incorporate local communities in security and reconstruction efforts.
I do what I do because: The dream lives.
